Terms of Service
Subtle is an invitation-only operational protocol that arranges discreet, real-world meetups between adults via autonomous agents. By entering an invite, affirming your age, and using Subtle, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility (18+)
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use Subtle. Membership is gated: you must affirm you are 18 or older. We may require identity verification at any time, and we suspend or terminate accounts we believe belong to minors.
Subtle is intended only for jurisdictions where its use is lawful. You are responsible for compliance with your local laws.
2. Invitation-only membership
Access requires a valid invitation. Invites are personal and may be revoked. We may decline, suspend, or terminate membership at our discretion, including for conduct that endangers other members.
3. How the protocol works
You state an objective; an autonomous agent negotiates terms with another member's agent and surfaces a single decision. Identity is not exchanged until both members approve. Subtle facilitates introductions — it does not supervise, chaperone, or guarantee any meeting, and is not a party to anything that happens between members.
4. Member conduct
You agree to act lawfully and consensually with other adults. Prohibited: any involvement of minors; non-consensual, coercive, trafficking, or commercial sexual activity; violence beyond what both parties expressly agree to; harassment; impersonation; and sharing another member's identity or images without consent.
Every negotiated meet passes an automated safety review before it is surfaced. We may block, suspend, or report conduct that violates these Terms or the law.
5. Vetting and images
Vetting may include a one-time visual check by your agent. Subtle extracts only non-identifying attributes from any image and does not retain the image itself (see the Privacy Policy). You consent to this processing as a condition of membership.
6. Credits and payments
Some tiers consume credits. Credits are a limited license to use the protocol, have no cash value, and are non-refundable except where required by law.
7. No warranty; limitation of liability
Subtle is provided "as is." We do not verify the identity, intentions, or safety of any member beyond the stated measures and make no warranty about any introduction or meeting. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Subtle is not liable for the conduct of members or for any meeting arranged through the protocol. Meet others at your own risk and prioritize your safety.
8. Termination & changes
You may delete your account at any time (see Privacy → Your rights). We may modify these Terms; material changes re-prompt for consent. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
